Red Deer Digest

The annual Red Deer Motorcycle Show takes place from Jan 18 to 20 at the Agricentre in Westerner park. It is the largest indoor custom bike show in Alberta, and there will be 50 manufacturers and outlets at the show, such as Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson, Turple Brothers and Red Deer Power Sports. As well as street machines, there will be clothing, accessories and gear on display.

Arlen Ness, world famous bike builder, will appear at the show on the 19th and the 20th. This famous motorcycle customizer has been honing his skills since the early 70’s.

Other celebrities in attendance will include Russell Mitchell, a contestant from the Discovery Channel Biker Build-Off, and racer Scott Beairsto. Scott, from Innisfail, will be seen at the Turple Brother’s booth during the show. He holds four World Motorcycle Land Speed Records, and plans to keep racing.

Events include a fashion show and the Lucas Oils Custom Bike Build-Off Competition. Roger Goldammer of Goldammer Cycleworks will be judging the build-off. And if you want to see some models in the latest leather wear, better come on down to see new motocross and streetbike clothing and accessories.

Thousands of motorcycle fans will come to Red Deer and Central Alberta to meet new people and see the displays and shows. If you’re a bike fan, you don’t want to miss this three day event.
