Winter in the Red Deer area can be beautiful as well as cold. This sunrise picture from Delburne in Central Alberta was taken early in the morning, with a definite chill to the air!

The next week is going to be no exception, with a mix of sun and cloud from Wednesday Jan 23rd to Sunday Jan. 27th. Temperatures will be between -18 and -8 degrees Celcius, with Sunday’s forecast predicting only a high of -13.There is also a 60% chance of flurries on Sunday, so get ready for winter driving to get difficult again. Today, roads are in good winter driving condition, but watch out for blowing snow on the hiways that can make dangerous slippery sections.

Sunrise was at 8:30 Am today, and with a clear sky we should get some sunshine till about 5:04 Pm. Great skiing weather!

Wow, that sounds cold. I can’t remember the last time it got that cold where I live.

If it gets below 15°C here in Florida we think it’s cold!
