Winterfest February 17 at Bower Ponds, Red Deer

Winterfest 2008 will take place at Bower Ponds, Red Deer. It has been advertised that if the temperature is below minus 20 degrees Celsius with wind chill the outdoor festival will be called off. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. admission is free, and there will be plenty of activities.

Some of the attractions  for Winterfest will be tobogganing, snowshoeing, and skating. And don’t forget the hay rides!

Live performances will be featured on the Bower Ponds stage. The whole family can take in a show, then pick up a snack from one of the  festive food concessions. If you like outdoor winter fun, don’t miss the 2008 Red Deer Winterfest at Bower Ponds on February 17th, between noon and 4:00 pm. See you there!

    Wow, if I haven’t said it before I’ll say it now… its cold up there! Will be called off if the temperature is below minus 20 Celsius!!?? I’ve been complaining loudly about 20 above! Bundle up and stay warm!
