Corb Lund at Red Deer Centrium
Alberta’s own singer/songwriter, Corb Lund, is coming to Red Deer’s Centrium on Feb. 27.
Although his success has been a long journey (15 years), he has broken through in his home province and he is gaining more and more recognition in The U. S.
Lund grew up on a farm near Taber, in Southern Alberta and now makes his home in Edmonton. He comes from a long line of cowboys, a fact which comes through in his music. Lund’s writing style tends to be the story telling type, similar to his idols Johnny Horton and Marty Robbins.
Many people are familiar with his breakthrough hit, The Truck Got Stuck. His latest CD, “Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier!”, was released a short time ago. The first single, I Wanna Be in the Cavalry is already getting heavy airplay.
Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans, with guest Hayes Carll, play The Centrium in Red Deer on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Tickets are available from tickets master for $32.50 (plus service charges). The show starts at 7:30.
